Here and There

I, like all mothers I'm sure, get enjoyment out of buying things for my child. This can lead to some problems however, {like expecting something every time we go somewhere} so we have been working on this problem lately. From now on Isabelle will work for tickets...

Isabelle has small age appropriate chores that she is "supposed" to complete everyday.
1. Make her bed
2. Put dishes into sink after each meal
3. Put her dirty cloths into basket
4. Pick up toys at end of day

If she completes a chore, she gets a ticket, yay! She can also earn tickets by being patient and well behaved on trips out, helping mom with other chores {like sorting the recycling or laundry}, and doing big girl things on her own without being asked.

She also loses tickets, boo. If she does not take care of her "top 4 tasks" for the day, she loses a ticket. She can also lose them for inappropriate behavior, sassy talking, and mess making. So far this is working out really well! She loves earing tickets and is heartbroken when she loses one. Most of all she will be proud of herself when she finally earns enough tickets for a trip to the toy store...

We have had quite a bit of rain again the past few days so we have been hanging around the house...

And working on chores..maybe...

This and That

Wow, we have been a bit busy. Since it has been several days since I posted this will be a bit of a mish mash of the past few days. After I went on and on about feeling better in my last blog, I then spent the next 2 days sick in bed. That meant Isabelle had to entertain herself around the house.

So she did some chalk drawing and bubble gunning...

Some computer time...

Polly pocket online

She even made her own lunch one afternoon...

Carrot sandwich
Lots of funny faces to make mom feel better...

I was also very shocked when Friday morning Isabelle walked into my room with her little Dora activity tray with 2 bananas and a juice box on it. She said, " Here mommy, I hope this will make you feel better."

I didnt have my camera in the room to take a picture but I wanted to share anyway because it was the sweetest thing in the world :)

By Saturday I was feeling much better so we made up our cancelled Friday plans of going to the movies. We have been waiting on pins and needles for...

We went down to Cityplace to catch the movie but had some time to kill so we grabbed some food at Cheeburger Cheeburger...

Cherry Cola...no coke pepsi
I forgot my camera {we thought Isabelle had lost my wedding ring right before we walked out the door so I was scatter brained} so I have no pics of the event, but Isabelle looooooved the movie. She sat in her little seat with her 3D glasses on and her blanky in her lap. Everyone in the theater was clapping, cheering, and singing during every song which of course got Isabelle super excited. All was good until the finally fight scene when she climbed into her daddys lap and asked if we could go home now.

The rest of the weekend was spent doing chores, cooking, watching football and working on an Etsy order for a customer...

Yesterday and today were spent doing more chores {rained all day yesterday} and running errands...

Isabelle is a pro shopper and knows just what she wants

Like this hat
I spent my time drooling over these...

Then found some great deals for Isabelles new room, including the LAST set of sheets that match her bed {after going to 3 targets} and a lamp and side table...

Pillow on sale for 9.00 from 20.00 and lamp from 14.00 to 4.85!!

That should have us all caught up..Hope everyone is well :)

Frat Boys and Cravings

After 23 weeks of pregnancy, I am FINALLY not spending the first hour of every morning on the bathroom floor, praying to the porcelain god{However,  we still see each other occasionally, but I will take it} So, this has brought on a huge surge of the ever so famous pregnancy cravings. From eating baked potatoes  at 11 at night to jumping up in the middle of TruBlood {a show about vampires} to make cupcakes, I have been running the gamete on gotta have it now cravings. Here are a few from yesterday...

Caesar marinaded pork tenderloin

Herb stuffing

Puppy Chow

On another note, my husband has become something I never thought he would. A FRAT BOY...

No, that wasn't a typo. My phish loving, long hair having, tshirt wearing hippy hubby has accept a bid into a fraternity at his school. Granted, it is a pharmaceutical fraternity and more about connections then keggers, but I still find amazing amounts of humor in calling him a Frat Boy :)

Today we went back to the beach {i know i know} to work on some messages and castle building skills...
