Deck the Halls...Part One

Although we will not be able be able to go to Indiana for Christmas this year to be with our family and friends, I have been super excited for Christmas this year! Before taking off for Thanksgiving, Isabelle and I got started on our Yule Tide decorating...

Isabelle got to work on the little tree

This tree is for all of Isabelle's ornaments
My favorite thing about Christmas now that I have a child {almost children..6 more weeks..ahhh} is making family traditions. One we have started is getting Isabelle an ornament {or like this year, letting her pick it out} every year. She gets to put them all on her own tree and when she is older and moves out on her own, she will have some to start her own tree with...

The pink guitar on the top was the selected ornament this year!

After Isabelle had crammed all she could onto her little tree, we moved on to our new large tree {thanks mom}. I bought brand new ornaments for it in the coolest Christmas colors...

Isabelle and our completed tree

Isabelle picked out the star for the top
We then moved on to smaller areas...

You have to make a mess to make it look nice!

I love, love, love, my nativity! My mother in-law got it for us and she adds a piece to it every year!

Isabelle has to pose with all of 'her" hard work

I got these from my mom and I remember them from my own childhood!

Let the countdown begin

We have left a few spots open for some upcoming projects!! We have lots planned this year, Elf breakfast, Snowman projects, holiday goodies, and other Sweet family traditions!!  Keep an eye out for those things soon and until then Happy Holidays!!!

A Fabulous Barbie Birthday Party for a Fabulous Four Year Old

My beautiful little baby girl is turning 4 on December 6th..sniff sniff. Since we live away from most of our family and friends, we decided to have an early birthday party for her at my parents house while we were home in Indiana for Thanksgiving { more on that later}.

For Isabelle's 3rd birthday party last year, she was dead set on having an Ironman party. I wasn't crazy about it. I was trying to sway her to a Hello Kitty party or Princess, anything I could get girly with..No..Ironman it was. So, I was over the moon this year when Isabelle was all about having a Barbie party, yay!!

The Birthday Girl

We decked out the house in all things Barbie! We found some super cute table coverings, a wall banner, and crowns for tables...

Of course we had to have matching cups, plates, napkins, and ceiling decor...

The birthday girl got her own plastic plate and cup, birthday girl tiara, and feather boa...

No party would be complete with out a few games! We had pin the shades on Barbie and an awesome pinata that we hung above the gift table prior to bashing...

Posing with cousin Anna before the games begin
