My little Diva |
Ready for a fun day out, we pulled into the zoo parking lot and then..dun dun dun....RAIN...Nooooooooo. It started pouring. We waited it out to a slow drizzle and then decided that even if we are "Sweet" we wont melt so went ahead inside. Of course the slow drizzle turned back into a down pour so we took shelter by the deer for a little while and took some more pics...
We were able to see the otters, the new tiger cubs, the bears, and some fun ducks. We grabbed some pretzels at the snack bar and watched the rain over the pond before deciding to call it a day and head home to get ready for our Halloween festivities. Unfortunately, the rain ruined our plans to go to Spookyville, again, { spookyville is a Halloween carnival they have here every year that has rides, carnival style games, candy for the kids, crafts, face painting, etc} so we had to come up with an alternative plan. Luckily, there was a fall festival going on down at Cityplace so we got our Blueberry Muffin all dressed and ready for some Halloween fun...

Just as we were getting to Cityplace, it stopped raining and we saw a rainbow...
We posed for a couple more pictures before getting in line to head into the Fall Festival...
Lots of people in a small space |
We headed in and immediately I felt the walls closing in on us { I get a little, well o.k. a lot, claustro/lots of people phobic} Isabelle's fear of men also kicked in and she had to have daddy carry her in...
Our first stop inside was the fishing pond. It was insanely crowded so I did the best I could getting pictures...
Fishy for her prize |
Being shy |
Next we grabbed some free cotton candy {it was so hot in there that she basically ate 2 bites out of it, then it melted}...
Yumm |
After cotton candy came sand necklace making...
At this point in the event I panicked and had to go outside. Apparently there were also make your own candy apples, snow cones popcorn, plinko, balloon pop, and plant a seed activities...
