Challenge #5 Landing Station

So, I am sure there are some of you out there scratching your head and saying to yourself, what on earth is a landing station? Well, let me fill you in. It is as simple as it sounds. It is a "stationary" place for all of the stuff that "lands" in your home when you walk in the door! For our family this stuff is usually keys, bags, shoes, and pool gear. So I set up a landing station to keep all that clutter off the kitchen counter and to stop all those "where are my keys, shoes, etc. conversations :) Ours looks like this..

Shoes, off at the door and into the basket. Umbrella in case of rain and Laptop case for making a quick exit.

Keys, wallets, sunglasses and loose change find a home here..

Under that, is all of Isabelle's swimsuits, cover ups, and sun hats..

Bottom shelf is reserved for all beach towels and extra sunscreens..

Next you will find everything we need to go out to the pool..

Baby wipes, sunscreen, sun-in, and a first aid kit..

Bubbles..

All manner of pool toys with bag..

Sun hat and swim cap..

Eye wear..

And of course a beach bag to put it all in..

Everything I need to get out the door is right where I need it..

How do you get out the door?
