But I AM A Big Girl

Saturday was a BEAUTIFUL day here in South Florida, not to hot and not to cold, so we wanted to spend as much time outside as we could. We asked Isabelle what she wanted to do and she could not say " Go to the Park" fast enough! So, to the park we went...

Ready to go in her shades and lip gloss

The park we like to go to is in the next town over {but is only about 15 min from our house} and has several different areas for different ages of kids. Isabelle's favorite spot to be? The 6 and up playground...

While she has mastered most of the older kid equipment, getting along with the older kids, not as much. Isabelle is a 13 year old trapped in a 3 year olds body, however, the older kids realize she is 3 and don't want her to play with them and Isabelle feels she is to big to play with kids her own age. After chasing around several older girls who didn't want to play with her { this breaks my heart for her..I'm about to cry typing this} and not finding a suitable playmate her own age, she broke down in tears and just didn't understand why the kids didn't see that she IS a BIG girl too.

We decided maybe we should give another activity a try, and coaxed her into going to the zoo with the promise of baby tigers and slushies. Much better plan...

I love to see that happy face

After we checked out some monkeys, we headed over to one of our favorite exhibits, the otters...

If you put a bag against the glass, the otters will come right to you every time...

Wasn't there a promise of a slushie...

Getting a little help from Dad

The daddy helping himself

We stopped off at the tigers, bears, and the gift shop before heading home...

We were all tired after and emotional afternoon out so we came home and made Isabelle's favorite chicken strips for dinner and relaxed watching the sunset off the patio. Beautiful day :)
