Taking Advantage

My mom has been here since the week before Jude was born but her time with us is winding down. With just a week left, I have been trying to take full advantage of having an extra set of hands around the house. After a very stressful 3 hour trip to the WIC office on Friday, I decided I needed a little retail therapy :) Isabelle got her ears pierced on her birthday and has been counting the days until she could change her earrings, so we headed to the Palm Beach Gardens Mall to get our shop on. Iz of course got some earrings, we stopped off at our favorite store Gymboree where they were having an awesome sale { Iz got 3 shirts, a skirt, a pair of boots: Jude got an outfit and some swim trunks, all for 50 bucks plus I got back 25 dollars in GymBucks..cha-ching} we then checked out a store for me so I could get a new shirt for date night that night, and of course hit the food court :P We left the mall and had to hit up target for an insanely long list of things we have been needing to get. Isabelle was excited to get a new carseat...

And Jude got himself a fancy new vibrating seat situation {which he loves}...

My little turtle

After all that shopping excitement, Luke and I went out with some of his friends from school to The World of Beer, since it would be the last chance we would have while my mom was still here to babysit :)

Saturday was more of a working day. My dad was on his way down to spend the last week but wasn't going to be here until 10:30 at night. That meant I had a lot of nervous energy. So, we decided to rearrange the living room furniture...

Isabelle's new favorite pose

Now I can keep an eye on everyone from the kitchen

And what was Isabelle doing during all of this? Apparently perfecting the art of the self portrait...

After all that work, we were starving marvins so I whipped us up a batch of enchiladas...

yummo

My dad made it safe and sound and we hung out until I could no longer hold my eyes open and we all went off to bed.

It's been a quiet morning here so far. We made some cinnamon rolls for breakfast...

And Isabelle checked on her vegetable garden which is growing so much!! We have to transplant them to larger pots today, along with a laundry list of other things I would like to get done now that I not only have my mom but my dad to put to work :)

Your kids are so cute! They do not look that much alike, but then again, I didn't know Isabelle when she was a baby, so maybe they look totally alike. Hope everything is going well. I love the indoor gardening btw! I may have to try that. Take care!
